  • New Residence!

I am moving! This account name is old and actually I don't like it.  I have set up a new account with a name that is more of my style.

It has photos, audio, a different color scheme, and more posts to come.

    Check it out!  http://www.xanga.com/techyturner

Make sure you subscribe to the new account and add me to your Friends!

I will leave this one up for a while until everyone I know has switched.

God blesses the evil and the good alike, but the time will come when He will give each their due reward.

  • Thoughts

Another Sabbath is fast leaving me.

Today was Communion at church. We practice Open Communion (anyone who wants to participate can) and the Foot Washing ceremony.(It is not weird, just following the example Jesus set for us at His last Passover Supper)  I had the opportunity to serve families in the Family Room. At our Church, all the pans of water and towels are first set out for everyone along with rows of chairs. A family selects where they sit and begin washing each other's feet.  When each member is done, one comes up to a table, dumps out the used water, and receives a new scoop of clean water and a clean towel for the next person.

I've been to many churches during Communion time and I think we have the best system of making sure every person is served. (A bit biased, I guessed)

I really enjoy this time, because it helps me to remember that I am in severe need of Jesus and He alone can get rid of my proud heart and put His Heart in its place. I can do nothing except be open to Him and His guidance of my life.

    More later...

  • Sabbath is here!  I'm so glad that God saw to it that we can have a day of rest.

Just a thought I've had since Pastor Myckal's sermon two weeks ago.

God wants 100% of us.  We have to choose to give it to Him, because He will not take it.

Satan wants less than 1% of us. As long as he has a small piece of us, God cannot have all of us to will and to do of His good pleasure.

I've asked myself several times, "How much of me does God have?"

You should ask yourself, "How much of me does God have?" Does He have 100 percent?

"The very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." I Thess. 5:23

  • New beginning

I am sitting here thinking. I am finishing up my Spring Break from school and school.  I am listening to Take Five by Dave Brubeck.
Lesson plans are almost done.  One assignment for class is almost completed. Wife is not home.

I feel at peace right now.  It has been a while since I've felt this way. So many things have happened that I have felt numb for a while. But it seems as though it is going away.  I'll have to wait and see.  This has happened before.
